Telma is coffee farmer located in Trojes, Hunduras. She grows coffee, as well as corn, to support her family and to cover her living expenses. Recently her husband emigrated to Mexico, leaving her in charge of the entire farming operation.
She has reached out and requested a loan through Kiva to help her conduct the legal procedures required to transfer ownership of land on which she farms into her name. Should she have any money available after this process, she plans to use it to buy fertilisers that will help support and improve her crops.
