Sumatra Wahana Estate
The Wahana Estate was established in 2005 in the Sidikalang sub-district of North Sumatra, an area known as one of the best coffee producing regions in Indonesia.
The plantation spans 468 hectares, of which 250ha is used for coffee plantations, 100ha is retained as a Natural Reserve and the remaining area split between a coffee nursery, coffee processing facilities and worker’s facilities. These facilities include a well established medical clinic to provide free health care to workers. The Wahana Estate also works with local small farms to improve farm management, help implement use of organic fertilisers and to provide coffee seeds.
